We can't remember the last time when alien visitors were so popular in Hollywood. It seems as if every day yields some time of extraterrestrial type flick and today is no different.
Though details are on the scant side right now,Varietyreports that Adrian Askarieh has paired withDistrict 9producer Bill Block for his latest property,Alien Sleeper Cell,a story about otherworldly beasties that former TV and film editor-turned-scribe Morgan Davis Foehl will write.
Details of the project are being kept under wraps, but the idea was conceived by Felipe Linz, a former exec at David Friendly's shingle who has since gone off to produce his own pics.
Askarieh's credits include Fox actionerHitman,and he's preppingKane and Lynchat Lionsgate; both are based on Eidos games. Together with Daniel Alter, he's also set up an adaptation of Devil Due comicbooksHack/Slash(lord knows when we'll see that) andLost Squadat Rogue Pictures and TV toonJonny Questat Warner Bros.
